Introduction to Letterpress Printing | August 20–21, 2022, 10:00–16:00 | Språk: Norsk og Engelsk | Fee: 3000,- NOK

In this workshop participants will learn how to set metal type, carve a linoleum block, design a layout, and print their creation into a 1-page book.

On the first day, we will work on getting familiar with the press and learning how to set type and printing type high materials.

We will discuss possibilities within the structure we are working with, and explore its nuances and ways it can be expanded even further.

On the second day, we will carve and print a small linoleum block as the image to match the text printed on the first day.

At the end of the class, participants will leave with a completely handmade book, and the knowledge to use the tools and equipment to make more.
